Curology has historically only been available through a DTC subscription, yet we have already reached +4M consumers. We are now looking to scale and step-change our growth by expanding our access through brick & mortar retail distribution where the majority of consumers buy skincare. We are looking for an experienced & passionate Senior Manager, Retail Sales Strategy who can support this effort to build and grow Curology’s retail business. You will be responsible for the growth & retail strategy of the business with a consumer centric, hands-on approach. Your efforts will be critical to helping catapult Curology to its next phase of growth, and building it into one of the most loved and successful brands in skincare.

Reporting to the Director of Retail Sales.

Responsibilities:

    • Lead our retail sales strategy, developing processes and building the structure to enable our retail growth plans in close partnership with cross-functional teams
    • Develop and lead the execution of customer business plans that include the 4P fundamentals (product, placement, promotion, and pricing), new item sell-in and execution, and strategic initiatives and expansion of the business
    • Monitor, analyze & pull retailer & syndicated data to derive insights across our business, competitors and the category to be growth focused and the skincare category expert
    • Serve as the 'voice of customer' within the company to address customer needs and accomplish goals and objectives, including the launch of new items
    • Partner with Sales, Finance & Marketing to own the customer P&L’s to drive trade spend ROI & efficiency with a growth mindset
    • Prepare for key customer meetings and category reviews including setting goals, deck preparation with all cross functional teams and presenting to key customers
    • Own the 3yr Plan by building cohesive action plans to effectively defend against competitive threats, fuel key growth accelerators and ensure category leading growth
    • Evolve pricing and promotion strategy in order to mitigate channel conflict while simultaneously meeting topline and profitability objectives
    • Work closely with the Director of Retail Sales & Chief Commercial Officer on a variety of high priority strategic projects

Requirements:

    • 7+ years working in CPG Sales with a proven track record of success working in sales planning, field sales, category management and/or trade marketing across multiple classes of trade (mass, beauty, grocery, drug & e-commerce).
    • High customer focus with the ability to drive for results – one who understands the customer’s needs and requirements and can also translate and execute Curology’s vision into retail
    • Experience analyzing, pulling & storytelling with syndicated data
    • Willing to roll up their sleeves to assist across all aspects of field selling, category management, insights, and financials to drive the business forward
    • Expert storyteller with the ability to translate data into insights and translate learnings into cohesive plans to drive the business – capitalizing on growth opportunities
    • Experience working with cross functional teams including marketing, supply chain, finance & consumer insights
    • Ability to influence and negotiate with teams and key stakeholders at all levels
    • Strong organizational skills, project management as well as a high level of analytics and strategy setting
    • Must be collaborative, agile, accountable, kind, and welcome change

    • The base salary for this position will be between $145,000 to $170,000 depending on your experience, skillset, and geographic location.
